MAVIC Closed-Source AI Knowledge and Navigation System (the "Platform")

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. Purpose of the Platform

MAVIC is a closed-source, purpose-built artificial intelligence knowledge and navigation system providing curated, evidence-based information to military service members, Veterans, their families, and authorized service providers.

MAVIC unites nonprofit organizations, universities, research centers, and service partners to provide evidence-based information supporting military service members, Veterans, and their families. The Platform provides educational and navigational guidance only.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Access to the Platform is limited to:

  • Military service members and their families
  • Veterans and caregivers
  • Approved nonprofit, academic, healthcare, and service organizations
  • Authorized professionals serving the military and Veteran community

You may be required to register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
  • Notify MAVIC of unauthorized account use

We may suspend or terminate access if eligibility requirements are not met or Terms are violated.

3. Closed-Source Proprietary System

MAVIC is a proprietary closed-source platform. All software, models, system architecture, data pipelines, and AI logic are confidential intellectual property.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Platform
  • Attempt to extract model parameters or training data
  • Circumvent access controls
  • Replicate or benchmark the Platform for competing systems
  • Access APIs except through authorized interfaces

Unauthorized attempts to access or reproduce MAVIC technology are prohibited.

4. Partner-Contributed Knowledge

MAVIC's AI system uses curated content contributed by partner organizations. Partners retain ownership of their materials. MAVIC holds a license to use such materials within the Platform. Users receive no ownership rights in partner-contributed content.

5. User Inputs and License

You retain ownership of any information you submit to the Platform.

By using the Platform, you grant MAVIC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your inputs solely to:

  • Provide Platform functionality
  • Improve system performance
  • Maintain security and auditability

We do not sell user input data.

6. Prohibited Submissions

You agree not to submit:

  • Classified, controlled, or export-restricted information
  • Protected health information (PHI) or medical records
  • Social Security numbers or government identification numbers
  • Content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive

MAVIC is not a HIPAA-covered entity and the Platform is not designed for storage of protected health information.

7. AI Guidance Disclaimer

Platform outputs:

  • Are educational and informational only
  • Are not legal, medical, financial, or clinical advice
  • Are not official determinations of government benefits or eligibility

Users must seek official or professional confirmation where required.

8. Explainable and Governed AI

MAVIC's artificial intelligence stack is designed to be explainable, transparent, and tightly controlled.

System outputs are derived from documented source materials. Users may request citation or source references where available.

9. Government System Interfaces

Where MAVIC connects to authorized government systems via APIs:

  • Connections are permissioned and audited
  • No classified systems are accessed
  • Credentials are not stored beyond active sessions

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, software, models, system designs, and content created by MAVIC are owned by MAVIC.

Use of the Platform grants no ownership rights beyond limited authorized access.

11. Privacy

Personal data handling is governed by the MAVIC Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Availability

The Platform is provided "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • For unauthorized system use
  • For conduct that harms MAVIC or its community

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAVIC is not liable for:

  • Decisions made based on AI-generated guidance
  • Missed benefits or opportunities
  • Errors in partner-contributed materials
  • Indirect or consequential damages

If any liability is imposed, it shall not exceed fees paid for access during the prior 12 months.

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You waive the right to participate in class actions.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
